Emails inhibiting productivity?

Emails inhibiting productivity?

Today has been a day full of travel for me so I’ve had the time to listen to a few different podcasts which have given me some ideas for blog posts – fantastic! The first concept which really struck me and which I hadn’t thought much of in the past was the fact that the activity of sending emails may not be as productive as we think it is. A lot of people complain about their lack of availability due to the mass of emails they feel the need to filter through and respond to; however, does reading and sending emails really count as a constructive task? La Tour Eiffel

La Tour Eiffel

On Wednesday, I spent an evening/night in Paris to mark the start of my summer holiday with my family, so I tried to take some photographs of the iconic Eiffel Tower which I’m showcasing in this post. I thought I’d try to capture the beautiful sight as best as I could, although I’ve realised that nothing beats seeing the Eiffel Tower in real life. Maybe, if you have the time, money and willingness, this post will persuade you to go and see it for yourself. I promise that it really is a sight worth seeing (especially at night) and I’d encourage you to experience the buzzing city life in Paris as a whole which has an incredible character and charm. (I don’t even need to tell you that, it’s a given)

If you want to know more about Brains Unite, check out the ‘About‘ page of the blog. Other than that, spread the word and hopefully we can, collectively, make this project a huge success! (with 4 links in this paragraph, there’s a good chance that you’ll find yourself accidentally clicking your way onto the blog… tactics, tactics, tactics 😀)

Thoughts on ‘Body Love’

‘Body love’ is a phrase which echoes throughout social media and is endorsed by most public figures who believe that everyone should be proud of their body, no matter what it looks like. I, too, found myself to be an avid supporter of this movement – I mean, doesn’t it seem logical to believe that you should be comfortable in your own skin? Your shape, size and weight shouldn’t determine your mental state, right? When I started thinking about these questions more deeply, I came across ideas which lead me to think that perhaps ‘body love’ isn’t as beneficial and favourable as it seems at first glance. So, if you know anything about ‘body love’ and what it stands for, maybe you can straighten out my concerns.
